Kyunghee Kim is a Korean American immigrant, poet, writer, author, and a mental health advocate. Her work focuses on loving and living in the complexities of loss, often exploring diasporic experiences, the daily living, and relationships we have with each other and ourselves.

Her essays have appeared in HuffPost, Shondaland, and others. Kyunghee has created and taught writing workshops and collaborated with artists on usage of poetry in exhibitions, spoken word, film, and more.

Among many things, Kyunghee enjoys hiking, eating Korean food, rainy days, watching K-Drama, and dabbling on her wellness and lifestyle blog.

Kyunghee was born in South Korea, raised in a small town of Utica, Michigan, now lives in Ypsilanti, Michigan with her husband and sweet pup Rosemary. Her favorite title is being an emo (aunt).
